Persepolis @ Global Feast 2012

Well this is exciting. We’ve been invited to cook at Global Feast, which is the biggest, silliest pop-up event ever. Kerstin Rodgers, aka MsMarmiteLover, is organising a pop-up event to reflect a different part of the world every night during the Olympics. The event/s take place at Stratford Old Town Hall, and guests will be seated at a unique, world contoured, 80 metre long table. The whole thing has been devised by funky design bods atmos and some clever dude called Alex Haw. Just in case you were wondering.

We will be there on 1st August (WHICH IS JUST TWO WEEKS AWAY), helping at an evening hosted primarily by Sabrina Ghayour, an experienced Supper Clubber (and a real Iranian to boot). We will provide a range of mostly Iranian canapes and meze starters, and then Sabrina is cooking jujeh chicken and morasa pulao, which is the jewel in the crown that is the Persian kitchen: a beautiful multi-flavoured, many-textured rice dish. We can’t remember what’s for pudding but we do remember thinking that it sounded lush.

Tickets for the evening cost £55.00, and include a welcome drink, LOADS of food, and entertainment. The bar is open through to 2am. You can book HERE. DO COME ALONG, because it’s all a bit scary and we’d love to see some friendly faces amongst the guests.
