Being fairly responsible eco-bunnies we don’t actually import yer regular apples and pears. But we do like to bring in the pick of the more unusual Persian orchards and farms. Rose apples, baby pears, sour grapes, sour cherries, honied apricots, Mashad melons… Most of them are as good as organic, and have very short seasons. Blink and you’ll miss them. No really. So if you like your fruit higgledy piggledy, unsorted, flavoursome, and, well, real, then keep your eyes peeled next time you pop in. Oh, and the all singing, all-dancing water-melon chorus should be making a come back fairly soon..
