The Return of…Team Persepolis

So after a three year hiatus (can’t think why…) Team Persepolis rides again. This time we are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society: Mr. S’ father-in-law is afflicted with this terrible disease and it seems to have reached epidemic proportions across the aging population. Everyone knows somebody whose life has in some way been affected by dementia. It steals whole people away right in front of your very eyes. It is very very cruel.

This will be our fourth or fifth team challenge, and we are delighted to welcome back some of the same team members who joined us on our last outing. Mrs. S. has kept in fine fettle using her rowing machine and some very silly apps and a late teenage foray into parkour and jump-style dancing (lockdown made us all do rash things, right?). Training photos to follow very shortly…

Anyway, TEAM PERSEPOLIS NEEDS YOU: your support, your money, your good wishes. The event is on 1st April (don’t laugh) and takes us all round Windsor Great Park and some crinkly bits of the River Thames. We have set a bold target of £3000: if you can spare a few coppers please DONATE HERE!!
