For our third event at the Cinnamon Tree Bakery we are offering you a sumptuous Autumn spread for omnivores, although as usual we there will also be veggievore options…
Baskets of herbs and bread with marinated feta, olives and chillies
Baked figs with fiery Bandari sausages (or goats’ cheese for veggies)
Must-o-khiar – thick yoghurt with cucumber, raisins, walnuts and rose petals
Plum and pistachio fattoush
All served with warm Cinnamon Tree Flatbreads
Prawn fessenjun: prawns served in a rich pomegranate and walnut sauce (or sweet potato fessenjun for veggies)
Turmeric fried fish (or vegan kibbeh for veggies) with Persepolitan chips and mushy pea houmous
Khoresht-e-Gharch – mushroom hotpot with split peas, served with spiced brown basmati rice
Slow roasted garlicky lamb shanks (or Imam Biyaldi – baked stuffed aubergine – for vegetarians) served with saffron and herb couscous
Cinnamon Tree Cardamom and Carrot Cake, served warm with a dollop of kaymak
Coffee or Mint Tea
The cost is £35.00 a head, and you can bring your own booze.
