Khoresht-e-Ghaliyeh Mahi: Spiced Casserole Herbs for Fish


Takes you 3/4 of the way to making the classic Iranian dish.

This is the base for a famous fish stew from the South of Iran: herbs, tamarind, garlic and chilli – super tasty stuff. To use, just bring the contents of the can (along with a little water) to the boil in a pan, and lower in 2 chunky white fish steaks. Poach for 5-10 minutes and serve with rice.
