Well we seem to be doing everything a bit last minute this year. But quite often they turn out to be the best sort of events.
The full festival line-up is over on our co-host Review Bookshop’s website.
So far we have two confirmed events.
Monday 19th November: It’s all about new food writing at Persepolis. Not only is the wonderful Ms. Marmite Lover, aka Kerstin Rodgers, our guest shop assistant for the day, from 7pm she will be talking about her supper clubs and signing copies of her Supper Club recipe book.
We will also be joined by Peckhamster and veteran food blogger Helen ‘Food Stories’ Graves, who will be chatting about food, life and the universe.
And because we are nice like that, we will be dishing up some nibbles and bubbles to boot.
Wednesday 21st November: in which we focus on Scott’s doomed 1912 Antarctic expedition. The evening will be led by local songwriter and musician Jake Wilson, who has just released an album celebrating the lives of the six explorers. He will be reading from literature and letters about the great voyage – and of course singing to us. He may be on for some time.
As usual the samovar will be on, and there will be nibbles. Starts at 7.30pm.
Watch this space for details of more events.
You can park free of charge outside Persepolis after 7pm, and we are well served by public transport. Please note that wheelchair access is not exactly ideal, and that we do not have a customer loo (although Burger King up the road are usually pretty understanding).
